Greetings ~

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. Unless your a Jew, or black, or gypsy, or mentally challenged, or white with brown eyes, or Polish, Or anything other than the Nazi Party wanted.
Yes, Nazis celebrated Christmas. Not as the rest of the world did however. Adolph Hitler had his version of the holiday and it did not include Jesus Christ. After all, Christ was a Jew. If Jesus had lived in the 1930s or '40s, we would not see him on a cross. Instead he would be chocking to death in a gas chamber in Germany.
The photos on this blog are strange. Many of them were taken at a Christmas celebration on December 18, 1941. Hitler was in attendance. And as the Nazis raised their steins of beer and shoved German sausage into their mouths, and gave tribute to that little man in his soldier suit at the end of the table, thousands of Jews were going to the gas chambers only a few miles away. But none of the young German soldiers at the gathering were thinking of that. Their thoughts were with their leader as he sat at the head of the table and pondered his next moves.
Some of the trinket gifts given that night were actually made by Jewish hands. At the concentration camps. And some of the Jews who had made the gifts with their own hands were now dead.
When you really think about it, the Nazis were a strange group. A lot like the slave owning south before the Civil War. It was perfectly okay to have black slaves prepare your meals...but they could not sit at your table. It was okay to have them take care of your kids. But you could sell their children at will. And it was okay to talk to your slaves for conversation but they could not talk to the masters. It was all about one race with superiority over another. And that's what the Nazi Party was all about.
This blog does not try to explain the Nazi way of thinking about Christmas but shows a few images of their celebrations for the holiday. It was a warped time in history. And lets hope and pray that it is NEVER repeated.
